God is speaking to those he has chosen. God is calling us to righteousness for a righteous cause.

God is calling us to righteousness to serve a righteous cause. The righteous cause is the restoration of this generation.

Intent:

  1. To challenge us to rise to a new level of righteousness. 
  2. To prove our love for God’s people. 

Purpose: That we will establish ourselves as being trustworthy.

  1. To be trustworthy to carry forth the work. 
  2. To be used by God to do His work.

Goals: That we will serve a righteous cause.

Objectives:
1) Why is God calling us to righteousness.
2) What is righteousness.
3) How to be righteous.
4) The benefit of righteousness.
5) Moving from religion to relationship.
6) Raising up the standard of righteousness.
7) How to respond to the call.


Subtitle: Peace can only be found in a right relationship with God.

1) To have a right relationship with the Lord, we need the Lord.
 
2) To have a right relationship with the Lord, we have to agree with God that there is a right and a wrong.
a) There is no gray area with God. God see’s our motivation for what we are doing and thinking. The circumstances of our life cannot determine what we think is right or wrong. God’s standard’s doesn’t change. God is the ultimate authority for what is right and wrong.
 
3) To have a right relationship with the Lord, I must be in agreement with God.
a) When we make choices and decisions, we don’t have knowledge of the end. But, God has complete knowledge. We have incomplete knowledge. The incomplete knowledge can lead us to death in the end.
 
4) Peace can only be found in a right relationship with God.
 
5) Peace can only be found in agreement with God.
a) We must be in agreement with God in our thinking, walking, talking, choices, and decisions.
b) We need God. God is the ultimate authority that determines what is right and wrong. God determines how we live the right way.
 
6) God wants us to have His heart and walk in His ways.

 

Peace can only be found in a right relationship with God. The circumstances of our lives do not determine what is right and wrong. God is the ultimate authority who determines what is right and what is wrong. Whatever we are struggling with comes down to our relationship with God. We need the Lord and we have to be in agreement with Him.
