Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.”

The word workmanship is a thing that is made or a product. If you go much deeper, it means masterpiece. We are ALL God’s masterpiece. We are as masterpiece is defined, an outstanding work of art or craft, as we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Masterpiece is the greatest single work of an artist or composer. Thus, so are we as we are created in God’s image and likeness (Genesis 1:27).

Masterpiece also means something superlative, unparalleled. As God demonstrated His unconditional love for us by giving His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16), He gave unparalleled value to His creation. So, God saw and continues to see us ALL as redeemable, collectable, salvageable, of great value.

The issue is that we do not see ourselves or others as the true masterpieces of great value and redeemable, the way God sees us.

WHY?

My people are destroyed or perish for a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). People are destroying themselves and one another because they do not truly know the One and True Living God. So, they cannot know themselves, neither can they know their brothers nor sisters as God’s masterpieces. We define or judge ourselves and others by the world’s standards.

The journey to becoming God’s masterpiece starts with us accepting salvation from sin that Jesus offers.

Through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our intimate personal relationship with God begins. Through this personal relationship with God, we begin to grow in the knowledge of Who God is and Who His Son is.

We become changed into the expressed image of Jesus Christ, God’s masterpiece, through this knowledge, this personal, intimate relationship with Him. It is through continual fellowship with God, that He, the Great Composer will create His greatest work within us and through us. Begin your transformation into God’s masterpiece today, by accepting Jesus Christ’s abundant life (John 10:10).
